the 10-second version

DTF, in plain English

DTF stands for Direct to Film. We print your design — full color, photo-real — onto a special film, lock it in with a powder adhesive, then heat-press it straight onto your garment.

That's it. The result is a soft, stretchy, vibrant print that bonds into the fabric instead of sitting on top like a cheap sticker.

let's settle this

DTF vs vinyl vs screen print

The deal TMF DTF Vinyl (HTV) Screen Print
Colors Unlimited — vibrant, full-color gradients One color per cut layer A screen per color — adds up fast
Fabrics Cotton, poly, blends — light & dark Most, but layers add weight Best on cotton
Minimums None — one piece or a thousand Low High — needs bulk to pay off
Hand feel Ultra-soft (screen-print soft with Color Knockout + Halftones) Rubbery & heavy on detailed art Soft & classic — the OG
Fine detail Tiny text, thin lines, gradients Limited — every shape weeded by hand Good, but photos are tough
Setup cost $0 — no setup fees Low High — screens + setup per job
Turnaround Same day — order by 1pm Slow for complex art Days to weeks

Running thousands of the exact same one-color design? Screen print can win on price at huge volume — and we'll tell you straight. For everything else — full color, small runs, fast turnaround — DTF wins, no contest.

DTF questions, answered

Does DTF crack or peel?

Not when it's pressed right. Ours are wash-tested past 50+ cycles and bond into the fabric, not on top of it. Follow our pressing guide and it'll outlast the shirt.

What fabrics can I press DTF onto?

Cotton, polyester, blends, canvas, fleece — light and dark garments alike. If you can heat-press it, DTF will likely stick.

Is there a minimum order?

Nope. One transfer or a thousand — same quality either way. That's the whole point of a gang sheet.

Can I get DTF transfers near me in Wichita?

Yep — we're Wichita and Derby's local DTF shop. Order online for nationwide shipping, or pick up locally if you're in the area.

How fast can I get my transfers?

Order before 1pm and we ship the same day. Standard turnaround is 1–3 business days.

What's a gang sheet, anyway?

One big sheet packed with multiple designs so you get the most print out of every square inch — and pay less per piece. Drag, drop, and size your art in the builder, or upload a sheet you've already made. New to it? Read How to Build a Gang Sheet.
