Artwork Setup
Getting your artwork right before you upload saves you time and gets you better prints. Here's exactly what we need.
File Requirements at a Glance
These four things cover 90% of the file issues we see.
Use PNG, SVG, or AI — avoid JPEG
JPEG bakes in a white background — that white will print as a solid white rectangle on the shirt. PNG, SVG, and AI all support transparency, so use one of those. Unless you actually want a background to print, in which case any format works fine.
Before uploading, zoom in on the edges of your design. If there's a white background instead of a checkered transparent pattern, delete it. We review artwork and will flag issues before printing — but we can't fix what we can't see, so check your transparency first.
Resolution — 300 DPI prints best, 150+ acceptable
300 DPI gives you the sharpest result — but 150 DPI and above prints fine for most designs. If your file is lower than that, the print will look soft or blurry.
Work in RGB color mode
Design in RGB — it's the standard for screens and gives you the most accurate preview of how your colors will look. We handle the color conversion on our end, so just keep your file in RGB and export as-is.
Keep text and fine details readable
Text smaller than 12pt and strokes thinner than 2pt at print size may not hold up. If your design has fine details, bump the size up slightly or simplify the artwork.
